In 1977, Salem Park Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Lyle L. Scott. He was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, and after graduating from Colorado State University with a DVM, he moved back. Hanifen received her DVM from Oregon State University, she had been a patient of Dr. Scott's for about 20 years. She is a client.
