In 1977, Salem Park Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Lyle L. Scott. He was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, and after graduating from Colorado State University with a DVM, he moved back. His primary area of interest at first was large animal medicine. He started treating cats and dogs on the farms he visited as his practice increased, and finally he needed a clinic space. Due to his generosity, compassion, and medical knowledge, Dr. Scott developed enduring relationships with many of his clients and patients. A number of the patients that came to the clinic when it first opened are still with us now. When Dr. Kathleen E. Hanifen received her DVM from Oregon State University, she had been a patient of Dr. Scott's for about 20 years. She is a client.

Dr. Christine Crawford owns and runs the local small animal veterinarian clinic Orchard View Veterinary Center, which opened its doors in 2007. (Lipscomb). She founded OVVC in order to combine cutting-edge veterinary technology with the individualized care you would anticipate from your hometown veterinarian. She has worked in the Salem area for over 19 years delivering outstanding veterinary care to her patients. All of our staff members are dedicated to getting to know you and your pet and share this commitment.

We are a full service small animal hospital located in West Salem and have been serving pets in Salem and the surrounding regions for over 30 years. We care for dogs, cats, and small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits. Digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, in-house lab testing for precise diagnosis, a surgical suite, dental cleanings, oral surgery, and modern monitoring technology are all available at our veterinary facility to ensure that your pet receives the best care possible. For pets who don't want to take pills, we also keep a full pharmacy and have the ability to mix drugs into a delectable liquid.
