Since 1960, the historic Patterson Veterinary Hospital has been situated at 12491 Patterson Avenue. Its original name, Blue Cross Veterinary Hospital, was given by Dr. Kavit. In the 1970s, the name was changed to Patterson.

Dr. Jerry Bayer, who has been collaborating with Dr. May since 2012, bought Patterson Veterinary Hospital in 2013. Dr. Bayer then started a significant interior and exterior enlargement that is still ongoing today.
