Richland's VCA Animal Medical Center has a long history in our neighborhood. Since most of our staff has been working for a number of years, they have witnessed two generations of pet families. Dr. Harbinson, our medical director, has over 20 years of experience treating animals at Animal Medical Center. The doctors Dr. Harbinson and Drs. Along with Dr. Cooper, who obtained her DVM from Pennsylvania State University, Smith, Durand, and Dr. Cooper all graduated with veterinary degrees from Washington State University. The Columbia Basin's mainstay for more than 55 years, Highlands Veterinary Clinic was founded and run by Dr. Ivor Evans in 1956 and later renamed Vista Veterinary Hospital. In 1981, the business was renamed Vista Veterinary Hospital, and in 1996, it underwent renovation and grew to 8,000 square feet. In 2001, Dr. Kathy Batdorf joined as an associate veterinarian, and in 2007, Dr. Matt Stidham joined the team. Dr. Geoffrey Goebel and Dr. Michelle Meyer both joined the clinic in 2017.
