In 2003, Animal Health & Rehab Center was established. It is the only Animal Rehabilitation Clinic in Miami and one of the first in South Florida. With advancements in the veterinary sector, our goal is to continue learning, developing, and adjusting our medical services. We attempt to maintain the environment of a small, old-fashioned practice, where you are welcomed as a member of our family. In the heart of South Miami, we are strategically positioned. Our freestanding building, which was built in 1954, represents the attractiveness of Miami architecture. It has been an animal clinic since its inception.

Dr. Juan S. Colom owns and operates the Universal Animal Clinic. Dr. Colom earned his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Florida, as well as his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. Since 2006, he has been practicing in Orlando and Central Florida.

As a new client of Animal Hospital at Vista Lakes, you can expect us to give your pets our undivided attention. After checking in your pet, you will be greeted pleasantly and brought into an examination room for your appointment. In most circumstances, one of our veterinary technicians will begin by obtaining information for the doctor by inquiring about your pet's medical history, present condition, and the purpose for your appointment. Then one of our veterinarians will inspect your pet, ask you additional questions, and, if necessary, suggest diagnostic testing.

Our pet-loving franchisees will tailor your pet's stay to their specific requirements and your budget. We are not a one-size-fits-all facility since dogs, like people, have diverse needs. They could be young or old, active or inactive, social or antisocial. Why pay extra for all-inclusive fees if you don't get what your dog requires? Sure, customizing your dog's stay takes more time, but we believe you and your pets are worth it.

The Coconut Grove Animal Clinic was established during the 'Old Grove' era. Since then, it has been rich in family tradition and pet care. Dr. Michael Marmesh, Sr. founded Coconut Grove Animal Clinic in 1965 after graduating from the University of Minnesota. Sarah Marmesh, his wife, worked as the office manager, and the two ran a small-town operation in the region that gradually built up around the clinic. After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1978, the couple was joined by their son, Dr. Michael E. Marmesh, Jr. Dr. Marmesh, Sr. died in August 2000, leaving his father and son to operate together. After recently retiring from her profession as an elementary school teacher, Michael's wife Nancy has taken on the role of business manager.
