Malabar Country Vet is a low-cost, full-service, and wellness facility in the Palm Bay / Malabar area for small animals. We provide low-cost vaccines, spay and neuter, dental care, medical condition treatment, and microchip services, as well as small animal care education. We now have digital radiography available, as well as ultrasound tests. Our outstanding doctors and team are dedicated to providing your pet with high-quality, sensitive care. From birth to senior citizenship, our goal is on keeping your pets healthy through inexpensive preventative medical and nutritional care.

We treat cats, dogs, birds, and other exotic animals; we are a full-service animal hospital, not an emergency hospital. Our procedures are performed on Tuesday & Thursday.

We limit our services to spays, neuters, and general wellness care, directing pets with issues requiring diagnostics such as ultrasonography, radiography, and prolonged follow-up to a full-service or specialist veterinarian office. This enables us to provide lower-cost spays and neuters as well as more cheap basic but good veterinary care to clients who otherwise would not be able to afford it. We are also able to put clients on public assistance together with nonprofit animal groups in Brevard to provide spay/neuter services at no cost to qualified pet owners.

Over 25 years ago, Florida Aid to Animals was formed to help pet owners afford basic, critical health care for their animals. We are dedicated to making Pet Health Care accessible to everybody. We also encourage low-cost spay and neuter to help reduce pet overpopulation. Isabelle Dorsey founded the first Melbourne location in 1989. Her objective was to create an affordable sterilization procedure to assist reduce the number of cats and dogs euthanized at shelters due to pet overpopulation, which was and still is a problem. Her daughter, Lisa, now runs the hospital, which employs over 20 people and has evolved into a low-cost pet health facility.
