Dr. In Missouri, Ron was born. When he was twelve years old, his family moved to Oklahoma City, where he attended Putnam City Schools, graduating in 1971. At Oklahoma State University, he pursued his study on a football scholarship. He got accepted into the veterinary school after three years and started in the fall of 1974. He was only the second person to go to veterinary school and play football at the same time. Dr. Ron left football after a good 7-3 season and Fiesta Bowl victory to focus on his veterinary education. May 1978 marked his veterinary school graduation. Dr. Boyer relocated to his own small animal clinic after joining a two-man large and small animal practice in Holdenville, OK.
