The mission of Farr West Animal Hospital is to deliver high-quality veterinary care to the Ogden, Utah, region. We promise to give your pet the highest caliber veterinarian treatment possible for the duration of its life. Our facilities and services are made to help with normal preventive care, such spaying and neutering and immunizations, for young, healthy pets.

As your pet ages, we also want to assist you with early disease identification and treatment, as well as full medical and surgical care as required throughout your pet's lifetime. Additionally, we provide boarding and grooming services. The entire staff, including doctors Derek P. Lowe and Jeffrey S. Bailey, is committed to becoming your partner in your pet's healthcare because they are aware of the unique position that your pet plays in your family.

In Ogden, Brookside Animal Hospital first opened its doors in the 1960s at the intersection of 12th Street and Wall Avenue. Drs. The first two vets at Brookside, Isaacson and Liljenquist, treated both large and small animals.

Dr. Frank Markos joined the practice in 1967 after earning his degree from Colorado State University, and he soon rose to the position of partner. He had a key role in establishing the first emergency referral facility in Northern Utah in 2000 thanks to his tireless efforts and dedication, which assisted Brookside in expanding. After working as a doctor for more than 50 years, Dr. Markos retired in October 2018.
