The Pontiac neighborhood and its surroundings have a long history with Bloomfield Pointe Veterinary Hospital. The clinic was started in 1947 by Dr. Besigar, who ran it until Dr. Tirmizi purchased it in 1980. As the need for veterinary treatment grew, Dr. Tirmizi decided to expand the clinic and included the most modern medical procedures and technology available at the time. Up until June 2021, Dr. Tirmizi gladly served the neighborhood as the clinic's proprietor.

A full-service animal hospital, Jensen's Animal Hospital is located in Petoskey, Michigan. We pledge to give your companion animal top-notch veterinary treatment for the duration of its life. Our facilities and services are made to help with regular preventative care for young, healthy animals, early disease detection and treatment as your companion animal ages, and full medical and surgical care as required throughout his or her lifetime.

One of the very few veterinary practices in the United States and the ONLY one in Michigan to do so is Pay it Forward Outreach (non-profit). For people who are at or below the poverty line, we offer affordable rabies and DLPP vaccinations. These families have received veterinary care with our help, including the necessary vaccinations as well as treatment for ear infections, eye infections, and skin/flea problems that, if ignored, result in significant suffering and anguish. The BLACK CAT FOOD BANK, which was founded in 2012, offers free dog and cat food to people who are struggling to keep their animals on a nutritious diet. We have designated areas for donations, and while food donations are welcome, this facility has a lot of overall needs. As
