Dr. Tammy Mendez and her husband Larry Mendez own and run Animal Care Hospital, which can meet all of your pet's needs. Preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, digital radiography, ultrasound, and other services are available at Animal Care Hospital. We deliver compassionate, high-quality care. We're also proud of the fact that we give back to our community. We had the good fortune of becoming engaged with the dog show at Old Towne Market as a member of the Lompoc Chamber of Commerce by giving prizes. ACH also supports Barkin Park, a new dog park in Santa Barbara, collaborates with Petco as a medical resource for exotic pets, and collaborates with VIVA, CAPA, and the Santa Barbara Humane Society.

Dr. Rick Zander established Village Veterinary Clinic in Vandenberg Village in the early 1980s. Village Veterinary Clinic was purchased by doctors Connie Ganter and Verne Thacker in October 1999. The original structure (across the street) was unable to accommodate the expanding practice. The current lot at 3883 Constellation RD was purchased, and a new facility was constructed and built during a 5-year period. The doctors and their excellent crew moved the clinic across the street in July 2007, and the clinic as you see it today was born. Dr. Thacker continues to serve the neighboring regions with ambulatory large animal care. With Dr. Connie Ganter and Dr. Julie Deter, our in-house small animal service has expanded to include full-service veterinarian treatment, bathing, grooming, and other services.
