In 1990, Animal Friends Connection was founded as an educational, rescue, and adoption organization. We created a Cat Shelter/Sanctuary in January 2000 and began sheltering canines in 2004. Since then, we've added kennels for dogs and a great exercise yard. At any given time, our shelter can host up to 40 cats and 35 dogs. Our Shelter would not be able to function without personnel, despite the fact that we are predominantly a volunteer organization. The animals must be fed twice a day and need medical attention. The public must be able to rely on us to show them dogs or cats that are available for adoption.
