Dr. Lai earned her veterinary medicine degree from UC Davis and worked as an associate veterinarian in Irvine following graduation. The experience exposed her to a wide range of current difficulties in pet care and dramatically influenced her perception of what constituted quality medicine. Dr. Lai established the Animal Hospital of Irvine (AHI) in 2003 to realize her goal of a clean, modern institution that combines cutting-edge medical care with old-fashioned values like honesty, integrity, and compassion.
