2020 saw the start of the first of two hospital expansions at Upstate Vet in Asheville. We were able to transfer our canine kennels, smaller kennels, and food preparation space, as well as create an extra exam room and a new greeting area, thanks to the first one's 1,200 extra square feet.

Dr. Bowden was raised in North Carolina and earned honors degrees from both the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While Dr. Bowden appreciates all facets of small animal medicine, treating and preventing behavioral issues in dogs and cats is her true calling. She is pleased with her achievement of Low Stress Handling Certification and aims to use these abilities to make your hospital stay pleasant for both of you.
