Dr. Jimenez teamed together with an old friend and business partner, Dr. Cornelio Vuurman, to create this multi-functional veterinary hospital, which is similar to the other two clinics they established overseas. Our goal is to be the best in all we do. Our primary attitude is driven by a great affection for animals and a persistent desire to enhance the way we care for them.

The Coconut Grove Animal Clinic was established during the 'Old Grove' era. Since then, it has been rich in family tradition and pet care. Dr. Michael Marmesh, Sr. founded Coconut Grove Animal Clinic in 1965 after graduating from the University of Minnesota. Sarah Marmesh, his wife, worked as the office manager, and the two ran a small-town operation in the region that gradually built up around the clinic.

After graduating from The Ohio State University in 1978, the couple was joined by their son, Dr. Michael E. Marmesh, Jr. Dr. Marmesh, Sr. died in August 2000, leaving his father and son to operate together. After recently retiring from her profession as an elementary school teacher, Michael's wife Nancy has taken on the role of business manager.
