Dr. Roy Brinkman created Arlington Animal Hospital in Jacksonville in 1963. Dr. Brinkman retired in 1987, and the practice was taken over by Dr. Donald Cook. Dr. Cook retired from Arlington Animal Hospital in January 2020, and Dr. An Nguyen took over the practice. Arlington Animal Hospital has worked hard throughout the years to provide the best care for its veterinarian patients, despite some changes.

Dr. Nguyen earned his veterinary medicine degree from the University of Florida. He worked at Indian Creek Pet Hospital and Companion Pet Care in Fort Myers before taking over Arlington Animal Hospital. He previously owned and ran Vilano Mobile Vet, a house-call clinic in St. Augustine, for 9 years. Arlington Animal Hospital has been purchased since then.
