In 2001, Dr. Lynn Fortin, a Newington native, bought the practice. Her goal was to provide a caring, empathetic atmosphere for neighborhood dogs while also providing the most up-to-date veterinary care and surgery procedures. Her education at the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine has prepared her to provide high-quality care in collaboration with local professionals. Newington Veterinary Clinic is a service-oriented, "old-fashioned" practice that treats you and your pet like family. In an era when many clinics are owned by corporations, Dr. Fortin remains the only proprietor, insisting on delivering a more personal veterinarian experience.
