Thousand Hills Pet Resort is a nonprofit that provides quality dog daycare, pet housing, and dog training. It is conveniently located near Highway 101 and the San Luis Obispo regional airport. Your pet will have a daily playground experience with our loving, kind, and fun staff. We have numerous huge yards for large groups of dogs to play in, as well as separate areas for small and less energetic dogs. Both daycare and boarding allow your dog to play off-leash all day. Don't simply take your "best friend" to any dog kennel or pet sitter for the best in dog boarding, doggie daycare, and training — treat them to a Pet Resort experience!

Woods Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is funded entirely through donations, grants, bequests, fundraising events, and service fees. Woods is not affiliated with San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, but works closely with them and other animal welfare organizations in the county to ensure the care of all animals.

Woods now cares for approximately 3,000 cats and dogs each year in our San Luis Obispo and Atascadero facilities until they may be reunited with loving forever families. We take pets that have been surrendered by members of our community who are no longer able to care for them, as well as animals that have been transferred in from overcrowded shelters both locally and from other parts of California. Woods is determined to find love.

Coastal Veterinary Rehabilitation & Acupuncture (CVRA) offers a multi-modal approach to help pets on the Central Coast reduce pain, prevent injury, enhance mobility, and increase fitness levels.

We provide free, private assistance in a non-medical setting to Veterans, service members, and their families. We offer counseling for issues like depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological aftereffects of military sexual abuse, among others (MST). We can also put you in touch with additional resources in your neighborhood and at VA.

The Equine Center was established in 1987 with the goal of providing excellent care to horses in San Luis Obispo County and the neighboring areas. Our mission is to deliver the highest level of SERVICE to our clients while also providing the greatest veterinary CARE for their horses. Every day, we tackle it with a "Patient First" policy based on current, evidence-based medicine principles.
