Betty Cardoni launched Mercy Crusade in 1949.

The organization's major goal was to help people in Los Angeles afford to spay and neuter their cats and dogs. Betty witnessed the senseless suffering and death of hundreds of companion animals who were either living on the streets or being surrendered to local shelters by their owners. She set out to make a difference after witnessing the pain, and she succeeded.

Dr. Jan Feingold, a University of California Davis graduate who completed an internship at The Animal Medical Center NYC in New York, provides your pet with unique and personalized Veterinary care. He is a caring, sympathetic, and courteous veterinarian who will treat your pet as if it were a member of the family. We have office hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for your convenience. On weekdays, we provide low-cost spay and neuter programs, as well as a Saturday immunization clinic from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. With over 37 years of experience, you can rest assured that your pet will receive the best possible care at Oxnard Veterinary Hospital in California.
