My wife Jill and I bought each other a gorgeous Yellow Labrador for our first wedding anniversary, and we took him over from South Africa with us when we relocated to the United States in 1990. He was our firstborn child and the first best buddy of our children. As much as we were his guardians, he was also ours. He was, without a doubt, the best dog that ever lived.
