Animal Health Clinic

We are a Christian-based practice that is run by a family. Our veterinarian facility in Lakewood Ranch first opened its doors in September 2002. We chose Lakewood Ranch because there was a significant demand for a veterinary clinic in East Manatee, and we reside nearby. Our clinic focuses on the care of small companion animals, primarily dogs and cats.

In Sault Ste. Marie and Bradenton, Dr. Sookra worked as a small animal veterinarian in the private and business sectors. That, together with his experience working at the Sarasota Emergency Clinic, provided him with unique and essential insights that he applies at the Animal Health Clinic on a daily basis.
