The Pontiac neighborhood and its surroundings have a long history with Bloomfield Pointe Veterinary Hospital. The clinic was started in 1947 by Dr. Besigar, who ran it until Dr. Tirmizi purchased it in 1980. As the need for veterinary treatment grew, Dr. Tirmizi decided to expand the clinic and included the most modern medical procedures and technology available at the time. Up until June 2021, Dr. Tirmizi gladly served the neighborhood as the clinic's proprietor.
