North Coast Veterinary Hospital (NCVH) has locations in Arcata and Fortuna, California, on the picturesque Pacific North Coast, in the midst of the redwoods. Our trained and compassionate support staff rotates between the two locations with our professional veterinarians. NCVH provides medical, surgical, diagnostic, and preventive treatment to horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity Counties, as well as mobile and emergency services.

The ideal place to bring your pet for comprehensive veterinary care is our animal care center. Our customers in Humboldt County and the neighboring areas can also take advantage of our veterinarian and animal boarding services.

Redwood Animal Hospital was founded in 1995 by Dr. Neal Winnacott, and we have been serving our patients in our current site since 2001. Dr. Winnacott graduated from Humboldt State University with a bachelor's degree in biology and Cornell University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He returned to the North Coast after finishing his schooling to begin his practice with the intention of assisting the local population.

We took the plunge this summer and changed our medical software system to one that is significantly more efficient and maintains better track of your pets' medical status. This means we'll have to switch to a newer online pet site.
