The Hampshire Veterinary Hospital in Amherst has all the tools necessary to do surgery and intensive care. The majority of the time, we offer urgent care around-the-clock at our hospital, however we will occasionally refer patients to an emergency center.

Since 1974, Dr. Hess has established enduring ties with the great animals of the Pioneer Valley and beyond. In 2016, Dr. McWilliams became a co-owner after joining the firm in 2014. Dr. Sam Neill, our newest team member, joined us in the spring of 2019. Dr. Caroline Barstow joined the clinic in 2016. They are dedicated to providing their clients with high-quality sensitive care and genuinely like working with horses, cattle, and other farm animals. Interests include equine dentistry and preventive medicine, lameness, reproductive technology, including embryo transfer, and dairy herd health and consultancy.

Here at The Cat Hospital, welcome. We are a full-service animal hospital that cares for both cats and the people who adore them. The clinic, which was founded in 1994, solely concentrates its efforts and instruction on cats. Dr. Maureen Ricksgers graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 1986. Since 1988, she has only dealt with cats in her art.
