Although the Cheesesteak Sandwich originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Philly Connection® concept was developed and introduced to Atlanta in 1984 with the opening of the first restaurant, which is still in operation today! The company then opened more locations, and franchise operations began in 1988.
