In 1977, the owner of Pet-Pro began his career in the pet market by opening a dog training facility in Oakland, California. The business specialized in the training of security dogs and household pets. His upbringing spent working sheep dogs in New Zealand was a far cry from the industry.

We're Pet Food Express, and we help pets and their owners in California live happier, healthier lives. How? We listen, empathize, and work together to solve the most difficult pet problems. Fiendish feline? Barking? Leash dragging? We've been there and can assist you.

In downtown San Rafael, our business is located at Third and Lootens. On Third Street, we're just beyond Sol Food and across from Walgreens. Our large brand is easily visible on the building, and there is ample space on both floors of the parking garage. You can also park in the five street spaces directly in front of our door on Lootens.

Simon was my first canine companion. He was six months old when I rescued him from the pound. I didn't find out what was legally allowed in dog food until he was nine years old. I was both surprised and annoyed. I discovered not only deceptive labels, hazardous chemical preservatives, and revolting "ingredients," but also an unregulated industry. One that is severely damaged.
