Owner Claire O'Brien grew weary of making trips to buy Caitlin, her golden retriever, nutritious food. She decided to open up a pet store in Castleton with a vision of providing a retail store that delivers exceptional customer service, expert product knowledge, and good prices.

From an early age I have had pets of all kinds. I grew up hatching eggs, showing horses and working at the local humane society as well as many stables along the way. Over the course of a 12-year period, the rescue group I founded helped to save the lives of thousands of dogs and cats. I grew up with rough collies, a few wonderful mutts and a lab before acquiring my first bearded collie as an adult. Snuffy & Wally opened the door of competitive dog sports for me.
