Born and reared in Delaware, Larry Mutschler is a proud Delawarean. In order to meet the need for horse feed in the area, Larry's Mobile, situated in Wilmington, Delaware, founded Concord Pet in 1978 out of a trailer. The company prospered, and in 1981, the year Ronald Reagan was president, NASA launched the first Space Shuttle mission, and the first personal computer was launched, Larry built the first Concord Pet Foods & Supplies retail store on Concord Pike in Wilmington, Delaware. Initially, Larry worked with his brother and a trusted buddy as partners.
