Petco is a leader in the health and wellness industry, committed to enhancing the quality of life for dogs, pet owners, and our own Petco partners.

On August 8th, 2020, Good Dog Buckman debuted in the midst of a pandemic. Portland-native and lifetime animal lover Eric Lilley's passion project is Good Dog PDX. In order to serve the Buckman neighborhood and beyond, we wanted to develop a locally targeted resource.

She was raised in Long Beach, California, by her inspirational and outstanding single mother, Michelle. Her family has a long history of owning businesses and working in the pet industry. Her grandparents, Robin and Frank, started their kennel in the 1960s and were champion Afghan hound breeders. Emily's Lola owned and operated a salon, and she frequently took her there. In her youth, her mother was a skilled barrel racer and horse trainer. These beautiful family members followed their dreams of owning a business and working with animals. Her decision to pursue her goals of creating a pet supply company was motivated by their dedication and hard work.
