Achille Agway

 founded it as a chicken farm. George bought his feed from Eastern States by the carload. This quickly developed into a side venture providing feed to other nearby farmers. This business was so prosperous that he opened his first location in Peterborough, New Hampshire, in 1965. In 1977, this location was enlarged.

As time went on, our company expanded to include additional products for our clients, such as hay, shavings, and pet food, as well as introducing lawn and garden products, at the request of our expanding customer base.
