 "Allie" Briggs grew up on a dairy farm in Rhode Island where he had first-hand experience with horses and other animals. He created the tack store to pay homage to his background. The business was run by Allie's wife, Lue (short for Lucille), who was kind enough to share her wisdom, expertise, and smile with clients. When Steve Briggs Sr. acquired the company from Allie in 1986, he had the same drive and enthusiasm that his parents had when they ran it, expanding it.

We are here to keep our families together, so we are aware of the crippling terror that results when they don't return. Yes, modern technology may offer to aid in that endeavor. But in reality, tagging our best friend is still the quickest and most reliable way to get them back.
