Our tale begins in Yulin, China, despite the fact that we are situated in Los Angeles. Our founders Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd began the lengthy journey to try to stop the brutal torture procedures in Yulin and end the dog meat trade in Asia after learning about the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and seeing the awful images of killing and cruelty that the dogs in Yulin face. They established the Stop Yulin Forever campaign with their collaborator, Dr. John Sessa. The movement grew in popularity, inspiring activists all over the world to call for the Yulin Dog Meat Festival to be abolished and for more humane treatment of dogs to be practiced worldwide.
