The name Tailwaggers is a nod to the Tailwaggers Club, a nonprofit dedicated to the development of canine welfare that was founded in 1915 in England. The organization immediately flourished and served as a pet registry as well as a humanitarian group. In just over a year, the Club had enrolled over 200,000 dog owners and raised $20,000 to support the Royal Veterinary College's work.
