I knew nothing about pet care when Calvin and Susie came into our household as wriggly, blond balls of fluff in 1999. But there was one thing I didn't have to worry about: what to feed them. Why would I bother? I only needed to go to the shop and get a "Puppy Food" bag. I was completely mistaken.
