Hale invented Hale Pet DoorTM in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona. B (Bill) Hale, Jr.'s company changed names from Hale Glass ContractingTM to Hale Security Pet Door® to Hale Pet DoorTM. Mr. Hale became interested in pet doors as a result of his work in the glass business, and he concentrated on integrating them directly into the glass pane of a sliding glass door.
