Since 1986, Kipmik Products has been a locally owned and operated business in Anchorage, Alaska. The name "Kipmik" is derived from the Inupiat Eskimo word "kipmik," which means "sled dog." We have two product lines, both of which have a stellar reputation! Our gift and souvenir items can be found in stores all around Alaska, and they're known for the quality of their designs and details. Hundreds of mushers, including top racers in events like the Iditarod, Yukon Quest, Kuskokwim 300, and others, have trusted our line of dogmushing supplies for decades.

Over the years, Alaska Mill & Feed has gone by several names. Don Donatello founded our company, which was formerly known as Don's Chemical, in 1950. Don earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from M.I.T. He joined the US Army after college and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands during WWII. Don returned to Anchorage after the war, where he married a local girl and settled in Alaska. After the war, Mr. Donatello stayed in Alaska and developed a small family business creating bleach cleaners and waxes at home. His items were sold to the local school district and private businesses.
