This climb is popular with visitors and locals alike because it offers spectacular views of the Hollywood sign and the LA Basin. Bronson Canyon in Griffith Park is a 6.5-mile, 3-hour hike. Because the dog-friendly walk is primarily along fire roads that aren't well-marked, it's a good idea to study a map ahead of time.

Before the zoo moved to its current location, the Old Zoo Picnic Area was home to the former LA Zoo.
