Monroeville Animal Control

In January 1994, Animal Full Life Rescue (AFLR) was founded. Before it was founded, Wilkinsburg and Pittsburgh's East End had seen numerous societal upheavals.

Rescue and Relax is a recognized 501(c)(3) charity organization that is part cat lounge, part rescue facility, and part resource hub for cat lovers all throughout Pittsburgh!

We are the Allegheny Valley's local nonprofit no-kill shelter, providing care for mistreated, abandoned, and stray dogs and cats. A tiny staff and an all-volunteer Board of Directors oversee the operation of our shelter.

Humane Animal Rescue is one of Pennsylvania's largest animal welfare groups, serving tens of thousands of animals each year at our two shelters and wildlife rehabilitation center.

The sole rescue organization actively responding to humanitarian situations in Westmoreland County is All But Furgotten. Currently, we have four volunteer Humane Officers who work to stop animal abuse and suffering.

To provide animals in the Pittsburgh area a second shot at life, we rescue, care for, and rehome them. We are able to accomplish our mission of keeping cats and dogs off of death row thanks to fundraising efforts and grant money.
