Trisha Yearwood Expands Her Pet Collection with a New Dog Food Line Inspired by Her Animals
For her growing pet company, Trisha Yearwood found inspiration close to home.
The thrilling new additions to the Grammy winner's Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection have been revealed exclusively to PEOPLE. The country singer is extending her brand of dog food and treats, which will be sold at Kroger stores nationwide, on Kroger.com, and at trishayearwoodpetcollection.com.
Yearwood, 57, created the Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection's first dog food line, which includes dry and wet food in a range of flavors, with her dog's needs in mind.
Yearwood stated in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, My animals are my family, and I want them to eat properly. You want to feel good about the food you feed your animals, just as you want to feel good about the food you give your own family. I'd always been instructed not to feed my animals from the table, but I figured, Why can't they eat what I'm eating?
Yearwood used her culinary skills to guarantee that her rescue dogs Millie and Emmy, as well as all other dogs, had a delicious and healthy meal from the Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection's new dog food brand.
The collection's recipes are based on recipes from my cookbooks that have been altered to supply items that dogs require. The dogs may have pork chops and rice if I'm having pork chops and rice Yearwood spoke enthusiastically about the new line, which includes tastes that her dogs had tried and approved.
My own dogs had to eat the Trisha Yearwood Dog Food, which was very important to me. So there was a lot of testing and research into the ingredients in this cuisine. My dogs adore this meal and the treats that come with it. All of the meals has been authorized by Emmy and Millie Yearwood went on to say.
Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection's new dog food and dog treat lines are created in the United States and include natural, nutrition-focused ingredients.
I want to serve my dogs food that I understand what's in it, that I know is healthy for them, and that they enjoy. That's how the entire food line came to be, and I'm ecstatic about it Yearwood remarked.
The entire Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection is dedicated to finding a forever home for every rescue pet. To assist link shelter dogs with loving families, the brand will soon begin featuring an adoptable dog on its social media and official website once a week. Dottie's Yard, a fund established by Yearwood in 2021 to help overcrowded and undersupplied animal shelters, is also supported by the corporation.
Yearwood's dogs not only inspired the flavors and nutrition in her new pet food, but they also influenced the box design. Millie's happy face and adoption date will be featured on some of the Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection's dog food packaging.
