The Purina Pet Parade Brought Happy Pets to Soulard
The Purina Pet Parade, now in its 29th year, returned to St. Louis' Soulard neighborhood this weekend, and everyone was there to celebrate. In February, the weather in St. Louis was exceptionally mild, and residents were eager to get out on the streets.
Every year, the Purina Pet Parade serves as an unofficial kickoff to the Mardi Gras season, and this year is no exception. The costumes appeared to be better than ever this year, with several pets and their parents wearing identical outfits as they participated in the parade.
And, despite the fact that it was a full day of entertainment, one of the most anticipated events occurs near the end of the day. The Tito's Vodka Weiner Dog Derby is one of St. Louis' cutest events. These adorable hotdog puppies are one of the most adorable things we've seen this year.
