Pets of the Week at the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter
Giggles is this week's Dog of the Week.
Giggles is a total riot. She enjoys snoozing or chewing on a bone while lying in her bed. This 2-year-old Retriever mix adores toys and will try to cram two into her mouth since choosing just one is too difficult. Adopters who live an active lifestyle would be ideal for her. She's always up for a run, a long walk, or a walk by the river. Giggles is a petite woman who weighs only 50 pounds. But don't worry, she's not concerned about her weight; she'll never refuse a treat. Giggles can't wait to shower you with love and serotonin on a regular basis. Come meet her right now.
Leo is this week's Cat of the Week.
Leo may not be the most photogenetic cat, but he is certainly adorable. This adorable 3-year-old guy enjoys sitting in your lap and getting head scratches, and he'll purr if you're doing a good job. When his owner holds him tightly or he's curled up in a warm blanket, he feels safe. Leo is an absolute darling. He's shy at first, but as he gets to know you and his new surroundings, he'll become your best friend for life. Check out the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter's Pets of the Week video on Facebook or Instagram to see how adorable he is.
The San Marcos Regional Shelter has both pets available for adoption. Until further notice, all ready-to-go pets (cats and dogs who have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped) are $10, which includes spay/neuter, vet exam, immunizations, a microchip, and 30 days of free pet health insurance. Please come meet our creatures in person at the shelter, which is open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Alternatively, you can visit us at https://bit.ly/2Je9BzL.
