(WTNH) – WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. – On Saturday, the BISSELL Pet Foundation will transport over 130 pets from Tulsa to Bradley International Airport, where they will all be seeking for their forever homes after receiving veterinarian care.
Hundreds of animals were rescued from the Tulsa Humane Society. The Connecticut Humane Society and other northeast animal welfare organizations have stepped in to help the overburdened rescue with additional space and resources.
The Connecticut Humane Society in Newington and Dog Star Rescue in Bloomfield are the two organizations that will accept the animals.
At 2:00 p.m., CT Humane is leading the ground crew. The organization will assist in the unloading of all the animals, matching them with new organizations, and providing them with a new start in the northeast.
