Marquette's Brookridge Heights is competing in the Paw-fect Pet Contest.
The assisted living institution has set the year 2022 as the launch date for its Grateful Give Back program. This year, it aims to do at least 2,022 good actions. Some furry companions are involved in one of this month's good deeds.
Lindsay Hemmila, the facility's Director of Sales & Marketing, said, Part of the goodwill and the Grateful Give Back that we're doing for March is centered around pets. It's therefore beneficial to engage in enjoyable activities. It's pleasant.
The facility is competing in Elegance's nationwide inaugural Paw-fect Pet Contest this month. Residents of the Upper Peninsula can enter images of their pets to be voted on for a chance to win prizes. A bespoke pet photo from Crown & Paw, a new pet clothing, and a year's worth of food and treats are among the prizes.
The winning pet's owner(s) would also choose one assisted care facility to donate $2,022 to a pet charity of their choosing. UPAWS has already been chosen by Brookridge if they win. People can vote online twice a day (one vote every 12 hours).
Ann Brownell, UPAWS' Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator, remarked, "They're not ignoring the creatures that bring everyone joy. It's simply a fantastic thing to gain that support, and we're thrilled.
Brownell said the money will go to UPAWS' general budget, which covers all pet-related expenses. She claims that the idea is to show pets love regardless of the outcome.
Brownell advised, Celebrate the love of an animal in your life.Go out and adopt wherever you happen to be. Visit a local shelter. Go to your local animal shelter. Bring some happiness into your life.
According to Hemmila, the competition is fascinating since it is unique.
You don't always consider your dogs, she explained. However, when you consider what they provide you and how they meet your needs for love and kindness in your life, it all makes sense. It is nice to help individuals who are unable to speak for themselves.
If you're interested in taking part, Brookridge Heights recommends that you upload your pet photos as soon as possible. Click here to learn how to submit and vote. The contest's link can also be found on the Brookridge Heights and UPAWS Facebook sites.
Brookridge Heights will host a free "Purr-fessional Photo Shoot" event on March 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as part of the contest. Any monetary and pet donations will go to UPAWS, and pet photos will be free. Until March 31st, all applications will be considered.
