The holiday season is in full swing, and your four-legged buddies will undoubtedly be there. That said, this time of year frequently offers unique goodies and even particular plants that are harmful to dogs. Here's a list of foods and plants to avoid this time of year, according to the ASPCA:
Christmas trees: Make sure your tree is securely attached to avoid tipping over and injuring pets. This will help keep the tree water from leaking, which may include fertilizers that hurt dogs' stomachs.
Mistletoe: In dogs, mistletoe can induce gastrointestinal discomfort as well as cardiovascular issues.
