In May, the Sugar House Animal Shelter will be waiving pet adoption costs.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (AP) – Those looking for a new best friend will be pleased to learn that in May, a Sugar House animal shelter will waive all pet adoption fees.
The Best Friends Lifesaving Center and Bounty Paper Towels have teamed up to waive the costs from Saturday through May 31 in honor of National Pet Month.
All creatures adopted in Sugar House are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and micro chipped, and are ready to go home right away.

According to the group, 100,000 more pets are at risk of being killed in shelters throughout the country than at the same time last year due to staffing shortages and limited shelter hours.
The unfortunate reality is that when pets aren't adopted quickly enough, shelters become overcrowded, putting lives at risk," said Julie Castle, CEO of Best Friends Animal Society. That's why we're thankful Bounty was able to come to the rescue and pay the adoption fees this month. It will assist Best Friends in placing more pets in homes at this vital time.
