Children's Doodles of Dream Pets are matched with Adoptable Rescue Dogs in a New Program.
Dog doodles are now able to leap from the page and into your home.
Pedigree debuted Rescue Doodles on Wednesday, a new program that turns drawings into adoptable dogs.
The program was designed by Pedigree to give kids a fun way to participate in the pet adoption process. With the support of Adopt-a-Pet.com, Rescue Doodles matches kids' drawings of their ideal pets with similar-looking canines available for adoption locally using AI technology and a machine learning model.
Families seeking for a puppy or just curious about the concept can join Rescue Doodles by texting 'Doodle' to 717-670-6675. Parents can then send a picture of their child's dream dog artwork and receive information about doppelganger dogs waiting for homes at local rescues. The Rescue Doodles initiative is open until April 30th.
Rescue Doodles helps Pedigree's objective to find homes for all homeless pets in the United States by enabling children to participate actively in the pet adoption process. Pedigree believes that Rescue Doodles will aid some of the 3.1 million rescue dogs that enter U.S. shelters each year, according to a press release introducing the new program.
Rescue Doodles, according to Pedigree, is a terrific place to start for families considering getting a pet. When adopting an animal, however, there are many other variables to consider besides beauty, such as a family's lifestyle, activity level, and existing pets.
Make sure the entire family who will be living with the new addition attends meet-and-greets with possible canines before adopting a pet, according to Pedigree, which also provides an Adoption Guide with extra advice.
