Bond Vet is sponsoring Paint Your Pet & Sip Night via Zoom on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 7 p.m. EST. Veterinarians can paint their dogs while sipping their favorite beverage at this free event organized by Andrea Caceres, an illustrator, designer, and book creator located in New York City. Bond Vet will give participants wine and a paint set once they have enrolled.
In an interview with dvm360®, Jesse Longo, LVT, Bond Vet medical operations manager, said that no experience is required; it's just a peaceful night to paint your pets.
You can paint your pets in the same room with you, or you can use photographs of your family pets as a reference. Veterinarians from all around the world are welcomed, and everyone, whether local or not, is welcome to attend.
Bond Vet was motivated to arrange a Paint Your Pet & Sip Night since the company aims to give back to the community and bring the industry together through medicine or shared experiences like this. Attendees can utilize the evening to form new connections, broaden existing networks, or reignite old ones with colleagues they haven't seen in a long time.
It also provides a low-stress night, which is very beneficial to people in the veterinary sector at this time.
Everyone in our clinic environments is so stressed right now, so what I'm most looking forward to with [Paint Your Pet & Sip Night] is seeing everyone share in the joy of being able to unwind, unplug, and relax a little bit. I enjoy seeing vets from all walks of life engage with one another because there are always some really unique and compelling stories that come out, Longo said.
What element of Paint Your Pet & Sip Night excites you the most? According to Longo, the big reveal at the end is when everyone shows off their paintings while others marvel at the wide range of colors, forms, and sizes of each companion animal depiction.
