President Joe Biden signed a pilot program connecting veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder with service dogs into law on On August 26th.
PAWS, or the Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers for Veterans Therapy Act, mandates that the Department of Veterans Affairs develop a five-year program to offer service dogs and training to PTSD veterans.
