After a house fire in Northwest Roanoke on Wednesday morning, three persons and two cats were rescued.
The fire started in the garage at 6:26 a.m., authorities said, and didn't spread to the rest of the house.
The house has moderate smoke damage, and the source of the incident is still being investigated, according to officials.
