The park's 427 acres are recognized for its five shelters and plenty of open area for large group picnics and outings. Five volleyball courts, equestrian trails, miles of hiking and cross-country ski routes, a 27-hole disc golf course, and a 40-unit campground with a group camp area are among the recreational offerings. An accessible fishing pier, a 38-acre dog park (including a 5-acre small dog section), two playgrounds, and an elevated boardwalk across a sedge meadow marsh are all popular attractions. Winter access to Dane County's 274 miles of snowmobile trails is also available at the park.

With some restrictions, licensed dogs are allowed in City of Monona parks on a leash and under the direction of their owners. Dogs are not permitted in fenced athletic fields, playgrounds, park shelters, or beaches. The full ordinance can be found here.

Many parks, trails, and natural resource places of interest are included within the Capital Springs Recreation Area border. The park features a 28-acre off-leash dog park with a 3-acre small dog area, as well as roughly a mile of hard-surface walking pathways across restored prairie and an accessible parking area.

Big Foot Beach State Park is located on Geneva Lake in Wisconsin, United States. Hiking, swimming, camping, and fishing are the most popular activities in the park. Big Foot was an early Potawatomi leader who lived in the area until his band was forced evacuated by the United States in 1836.

Pettibone Park is a public park in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Barron Island. The park is located on the other bank of the Mississippi River from the city's riverfront. Walking pathways, fishing docks, a beach, and a disc golf course are among the amenities.

40. Van Riper Dog Park

The dog park is near the open shelter off of Kramer Rd on the park's extreme south end. Alternatively, stroll behind the Aquatic Center on the walking track.
