Dog Park Locations

Some consider the 26-acre Runway Dog Exercise Area to be the "best and largest dog park in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin," and in this country, that means a lot. Milwaukee County, in fact, has four "combined areas for all dogs," which means the big Woof and the little Woof romp together at Bay View, Currie, Granville, and Roverwest.

Ripp Park is an 87.2-acre community park and natural area in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Wetlands on the west and north, and residences on the south and east, surround the park.

A playground, shelter, softball field, large dog park, horseshoes, and plenty of open space can be found in this park.

With a hiking route, skate park, dog area, and sport courts, it's an urban sanctuary on the Milwaukee River.

The Hudson Dog Owners Association's objective is to promote the creation of dog parks where dog owners can exercise and socialize their dogs off-leash, as well as to foster partnerships with local dog organizations, resulting in beneficial relationships between dog owners and the community.

Until it is further developed, this natural, undeveloped 2,780 acre day use park is solely open to foot traffic.

The City of River Falls is happy to provide a space where dogs may mingle off-leash and owners can meet new individuals in the community with similar interests. The 16-acre dog park has a parking lot for 20 cars and separate gated areas for large and small dogs. Picnic tables, seats, dog waste stations, and a portable restroom are among the amenities available. There is no water on the premises.

The Superior Dog Park is located at 28th Street and Wyoming Avenue, near the Millennium Trailhead. The park first opened its doors in November of 2017. The Superior Jaycees contacted the City of Superior with the idea of a dog park a few years ago, but when a location could not be agreed upon, the project was shelved for a while.

Quann Park is largely an off-leash dog park with a 12-court tennis complex that may be reserved. Between Quann and Goodman parks is the Wingra Creek bike trail. Alliant Energy Center has a shared-use agreement with the park, which allows them to use it as overflow parking and event space.

With three locations, Odana School, Warner, and Sycamore, Madison Parks offers nine fenced, off-leash dog park sections, each with a separate small dog enclosed area.
